These two pictures show the main square with the Norman Duomo which contains the famous Christ Pantocator mosaic. The building to the right is
the Palazzo Maria which contains some of our rented apartments.
The charming narrow streets and shady squares are full of local character
and colour, including the dog of a local artist!
From the long sandy beach you can look back across the pink terracotta rooftops to the Duomo, a short walk away.
Two typically Sicilian sites: a Baroque church facade can be seen just of the main street and a local fisherman sets off for a day’s work.
The old harbour houses a unique thousand year old Arab laundry.
